There are never enough hours in the day to get things done, but when you are pressed for time and keen to tick a few more things off the list, why not check out some of my favourites to get stuff done.

Xero – They make “doing the books” super easy, promise!

Adobe Spark – Such an awesome tool to get great graphics, super quick, easy and professional looking. There is a section to set up all your brand resources and hero images so they are all there ready when you need it. Works from a website, or as an app on your phone.

Creative Market – weekly free downloads, inspiration and low-cost stuff to kick-start the creative juices.

Fiverr – For that job that you know is only a few minutes (if you could only figure out how to do it in the first place).

I also recommend the back catalogue of the $100 MBA (Disclosure – I did write Omar & Nicole some fan mail that got shared in an episode, which landed me a free membership.)

The regular news and weather summaries on Radio New Zealand have been very helpful.  They were also great sources of vital information that wasn’t a social network site after some of the big earthquakes like Kaikoura, & Christchurch. The RNZ frequency is 101.0 FM north of Mt. Bruce in the Pahiatua/Eketahuna area and 101.5  FM from Mt. Bruce south to Masterton.

Dragon dictation – There is a bit of work involved to “train it”, but the time saved quickly pays off the investment.  I would also recommend a quality microphone, I have a Blue Snowball Mic (in white like a real snowball) – but the inbuilt one on Apple Headphones seems to work ok too in a pinch.

Grammarly – want some confidence in your writing? The moment I found it, I knew it was an easily justified spend. I love the weekly summaries – talk about encouraging when you have a personal best to catch! 75 weeks of writing and counting.

I would love to hear from you over on the Just Dandy Facebook page what resources you use to keep sane. The most popular ones will get featured on our site!
